You can easily contribute almost any kind of content (photos, video, sounds, city tags, blog postings, web links) just by tagging your content with a special tag which is unique to your neighborhood.
The tag is just the letters ur (as in "you are") with the zip code or postal code and (for countries outside the US) a two letter country code, which is the same as the country's domain for internet addresses (TLD).
Examples: Williamsburg, Brooklyn is ur11211; Mitte, Berlin is ur10179de; Whitechapel, London is ure17qxuk.
when you select a neighborhood from the main page or add a new neighborhood the tag for the neighbohood is displayed.

Tag any of your relevant flickr photos (old or new). Flickr supports batch tagging which makes this a snap!. Optional: if you can, also tag the photo with the name street it's from. NOTE: if you're new to flickr, your photos will not show up on whereyouare right away -- they have a policy of reviewing the photos of new members before releasing them to public pages.
If you'd like your photos to appear on the whereyouare front page, join the whereyouare group and you can add your photos to the group photo pool.

Tag "finds" in the neighborhood on the fly from your mobile phone (with or without your phonecam pics) -- include your neighborhood tag in your list of tags. You can also add "finds" to the map directly from the foundcity website. FAQ: http://www.foundcity.net/faq.php
Simplified phonecam instructions:
* Shoot a picture of the thing you want to tag
* Send that picture as a picture message to: brk@foundcity.net (for brooklyn)
* In the message write the address of that find, and any tagging keywords you want to associate it with (including your neighborhood tag) like this: address : keywords (put a colon between address and keyword) e.g. 597 driggs : community.garden ur11211
* Send!
